Bridges: Connecting our beliefs and our practices as pastors
Description
This course begins on Jan 22, 2024 and ends April 15, 2024.
Classes take place virtually or at our Covington office, and occur on Mondays from 12:30 – 2:30 PM.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This course will equip you for applying theology to people’s
specific life problems. In other words, it seeks to refine your
ability to both know God and people. You will cover all major
theological categories in an introductory manner while also taking a deeper look at how each one connects to life in a broken world.
Resources for this course will include a primary text book on
systematic theology, lesson notes, and various articles.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is completely geared for pastors, lay elders, or anyone
called to the ministry of the Word as a way to connect doctrine and
pastoral care. Many of you are already doing this well, but we wanted to provide something that gives you a fresh insight into this area we call Biblical counseling.
We also wanted to offer something that gives pastors a better understanding of our doctrine and philosophy of ministry at Connection Point. This is not something we offer to the general church member, so this is exclusively for you, lay elders that you serve with, or those involved in counseling within your church.
